Project case study

Alpha Dirt Works – Equipment Hire & Booking Website

I implemented Alpha Dirt Works’ equipment hire booking setup with Bookly, including operator selection, rate calculation and availability rules. I chose this approach because it was easy for the client to use.

01 / Context

The challenge

Equipment hire needed to account for bookings with or without an operator, the associated rate calculations and available dates. The client also needed a booking approach that was easy to use.

02 / Work

The solution

I used Bookly and implemented operator selection, rate calculation and availability rules for the hire setup. I retained the plugin’s standard handling for conflicting dates, confirmations and customer notifications.

Project summary

Magic WP implemented the equipment hire booking setup for Alpha Dirt Works, a Western Australian earthmoving and machinery hire business. The project used Bookly and included operator selection, rate calculation and availability rules. Magic WP chose Bookly because it was easy for the client to use. Date conflicts, confirmations and customer notifications are handled through the plugin’s standard functionality. The delivered setup supports the distinction between hire with an operator and equipment-only hire. This case study records the actual booking implementation and the reason for the plugin choice without claiming custom notification development or unmeasured increases in bookings.
